PRESCRIPTION REFILLS

Times will arise where you or your child will need a refill on a prescription medication. Remember we are always here to help! If you require a prescription refill, we kindly ask that you provide our practice with at least 72 hours notice to ensure we are able to review and tender to your refill request in a timely manner. Some medications that are prescribed by our providers may require you to pick up a handwritten prescription from our office due to state and federal pharmacy guidelines. We also encourage your family to sign up for our personalized patient portal where we can tender to your refill request in a more expeditious manner.

REFERRALS & PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS

Sometimes the care for you or your child may extend beyond the Old Dominion Pediatrics family. Please verify with your insurance company whether or not a referral or prior authorization is required for any specialist appointment or procedure. If special approval is required, we kindly ask that you provide our office with a minimum of 72 hours notice so that we may promptly tender to your request.
